GRAND PALACE BANGKOK

Traveling time, yeeeeeeey !
Even though the college semester break is ticking away, me may still have holidays planned with family or friends. And then me surelly want to going to BANGKOK. Place BANGKOK is my list holidays. As the capital of thailand, Bangkok offers both modern and traditional tourist and the Grand Palace as a must see as it's full of ancient temples and has lots of history. For history buffs, this palace might be the ultimate place.

The spectacular Grand Palace is undoubtedly the city's most famous landmark. It's a complex of grand old buildings with beautiful architecture and intricate details. It was built in 1782 and has become the home of ythe Thai Kings, the Royal court and the administrative seat of the government for 150 years. However, after the mysterious death of kingf Ananda Mahidol (Rama VIII) in one of the palaces insides the complex in 1946, his brother, the present King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX), who succes him, decided to move permanently to the Chitralada Palace. The palace however still very mush use for royal rituals and ceremonies such as coronations, funerals, marriages and state banquates.

The Grand Palace houses the sacred Emerald Buddha.Every visitors should dress properly. Shoulders and legs mnust be convered to be allowed entry. But don't worry, there's a changing room and the staff will give you a piece of cloth that covers the shoulders and the waist down. Photos are not allowed in the temple of the emerald buddha, but if you stand outside you can get a picture of the statue through the open windows.

The site is so large that you need at least two hours to look around and take piuctures. Everywhere you turn, you'll see golden grand temples and magnificent modern buildings.

The Grand Palace is located a block from the Chao Phraya River. Take a tourist boat for 25 baht (RP. 7.500) from the central pier to the maharajpier entarance tickets for tourist is 350 batha (around RP. 100.000). The palace is is open from at 08:30 am to 03:30 pm. But you can actually stay there until 04:30 pm. The palace is within walking distance from the pier, i feel if i going to grand palace i will be enjoy because  in there people sell : merchandise and food and for moslem it should be noted that not all food is halal and then the price is cheap and yummy.

BUT bangkok is hot weather so make sure have an umbrella or must wear the sunblock to protect skin during almost visit to the Grand Palace.
Surelly i  really going to bangkok because many people said this place is comfortable and if i ready to have an unforgettable visit to the Grand Palace of Bangkok.
